Domain connection
GoDaddy DNS checklist
Verify every record below before retrying the connection between GoDaddy and Lovable. Check each box to track progress.
1. What Lovable needs
Lovable will ask you to add two domains: your root domain and thewwwsubdomain. Add both in Lovable before touching GoDaddy.
2. Exact records for GoDaddy
These are the records most Lovable sites need. If Lovable shows you different values, use Lovable's values instead of the defaults below.
A Record — Name: @ (root)
185.158.133.1
A Record — Name: www
185.158.133.1
TXT Record — Name: _lovable
lovable_verify=YOUR_UNIQUE_CODE

5. Common GoDaddy mistakes
Forwarding is still enabled
GoDaddy forwarding can override DNS. Go to Domains → Manage → Domain Forwarding and disable it for both @ and www.
Old Website Builder records
If you used GoDaddy Website Builder or a previous host, look for A/CNAME records pointing to other IPs and delete them.
CNAME at the root (@)
A root domain cannot use CNAME. Use A records for both @ and www.
TXT value wrapped in quotes
Some GoDaddy displays show quotes around the TXT value. The actual value should still read lovable_verify=... without extra spaces.
Only one domain added in Lovable
You must add both the root domain and www as separate entries in Lovable. Adding only one causes verification to fail.
Still stuck?
Paste a screenshot or the exact values Lovable shows you, and I can tell you exactly what to enter in GoDaddy.
